Phoenix USA RV showcased their new 2020 Transit TRX at the Hershey RV show last month. While there, we had the opportunity to meet with owner, Tina Cooper and National Sales Manager, Barry Hyser and were invited to the plant in Elkhart, Indiana to test-drive the TRX to find out more about their new B+ unit.

Engine & Chassis
New to the Phoenix line, the TRX breaks away from the Ford 450 chassis that their other models are based on and is instead built on the Ford Transit 350 HD chassis.* The 3.7L Ti-VCT V6 provides an incredibly responsive performance with 275 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque.
“With its variable cam timing, the 3.7L Ti-VCT V6 can optimize performance across the entire power band to match the driving condition of the moment.”https://www.ford.com/commercial-trucks/transit-chassis/
*Note: 3.2 I-5 PWR Stroke Turbo Diesel is also available
All seating in the TRX is outfitted with extremely soft and highly durable ULTRALEATHER. The comfortable driver’s seat is adorned with a custom-stitched TRX logo and is fully adjustable. The steering wheel is also fully adjustable and telescopes to enable the most comfortable position for the driver. The instrument panel features easy to reach controls and the SYNC-3 navigation system is user-friendly, connecting easily to your smartphone.
The TRX has a 156″ wheelbase and is 22’10” in overall length, which enables the driver to utilize many standard parking spaces.
The exterior is currently offered in two full body paint packages. A fiberglass one-piece roof, power outside step w/LED lighting and a full-length power awning also adorns the TRX.
Inside, the floorplan of the TRX is very similar to Phoenix USA RV’s Cruiser 2100 model, minus the slider. There is a rear-quarter dry bathroom, equipped with a shower, sink and toilet as well as extra storage. The rear kitchen has a Sharp convection microwave, 2-burner propane stove-top, deep single-basin sink, corian countertops and more storage.
