THE ROADS CHRONICLE – A Traveler’s Diary [March 10, 2020]

WOW….what a busy, amazing weekend!

Our son, Brett is officially married to his wonderful bride, Jessica! They met about four + years ago awhile Jessica was doing a year abroad, studying at Beloit College, where Brett was a student.

They would have been married about a year ago, but it took this long for them to get all of the immigration paperwork completed. In the end, it was worth it.

On Sunday, family and friends from the U.S. and Northern Ireland gathered on the first of two rooftops in Seattle for their wedding festivities.

You can’t tell from the photos, but it was a very cold day. Temperatures topped maybe 42?? Honestly, I don’t know how Jessica did it. She barely shivered!

Everyone then moved down the street for the reception where we had another rooftop venue, but this one had an indoor room (a tad warmer!!) but you could also go outside. The views!!!!

It was probably the first time in a long time where I went to an event and didn’t take a role in the set-up/organization, etc. It was an odd feeling, but I was able to sit back and enjoy the moment….and take lots of photos!

BTW…Russ looks pretty dapper in that hat, doesn’t he?!
