NOTE: This is a DRY CAMPING location with potable water and dump station on site

The DuPuis Management Area is a 21,875-acre multi-use natural area located in northwestern Palm Beach and southwestern Martin counties. The property is interspersed with numerous ponds, wet prairies, cypress domes, pine flatwoods and remnant Everglades marsh. The area provides miles of hiking and horseback trails, an equestrian center, graded vehicle roads, backpack and group campsites and seasonal hunting. DuPuis is far from urban areas, and its dark night sky lends itself to excellent stargazing.

Atmosphere

During our stay which was in mid-December, the campground was pretty full. That being said, everyone was spaced out and had plenty of privacy. Other campers kept to the quiet hours and we felt quite safe during our time there. The campground and its facilities are well maintained.

Other things to note:

  • Bugs were not an issue
  • Good Verizon and AT&T coverage with the ability to upload and download video with no issues
  • Plenty of sunny areas to camp for those that need solar but also many shaded areas.
  • OK to use generators

How to stay at DuPuis

It is free to stay for up to 8 days per permit (30 days limit district-wide), but you do need to create an account at the South Florida Management District website and request a Special Use License for your stay. After you have completed the request, a link to your Special Use License will be displayed for you to view or print. In addition, you will receive emails with the gate combination (if available) and a link to view or print your Special Use License.

2020 Winnebago Micro Minnie 2108 FBS Tour

Take a tour, hear thoughts from a current owner and find out all you need to know about the Winnebago Micro-Minnie 2108 FBS!

2020 Winnebago Micro Minnie Tour

We’ve seen a lot of these units at campgrounds lately and we couldn’t wait to get to take a closer look at the latest Micro Minnie at the RV show in Hershey this year.

First Impressions

The 2108 FBS Micro Minnie from Winnebago has a very clean and simple look. Graphics are kept to a minimum. The front end of the unit is curved, providing an aerodynamic benefit while driving and the lower portion is covered with a diamond plate for added protection.

Micro Minnie Exterior

Upon entering the interior, we were pleasantly surprised with the updated decor. Finding out owners have the choice of six different interior color options, impressed us for a trailer at this price.

Interior

Upon entering, you’ll find a 60″x74″ bed to your right with storage overhead and on either side. You can’t exactly walk on either side of the bed, but there is space to maneuver and make the bed. Windows on either side can provide a nice cross-breeze as well as a fan above the bed. In the event you would like to block off the bed from the main living area, ceiling mounted curtains can be pulled along a track for privacy.

There is a dinette on a slide that when extended, provides a generous amount of space in this unit. The dinette seats four and can be converted to additional sleeping space for two.

The television is wall-mounted and can be adjusted to different angles. Winnebago has fit in additional storage above and below the television.

The kitchen has a very nice stainless steel double sink, a two-burner cooktop, oven, microwave and gas/electric refrigerator.

For a trailer this size, the bathroom is a dry bath and quite roomy. This area also offers the most amount of storage in the bathroom cabinets. Also included in the interior:

  • Night/privacy shades
  • LED lighting
  • LED TV
  • Cable TV hook up
  • Carbon monoxide detector
  • LP gas detector
  • Smoke alarm
  • AV system (AM/FM/CD/DVD/USB/Bluetooth®)

Exterior

The Winnebago 2108 FBS Micro Minnie is built on a steel frame and has steel outriggers and crossmembers. The sidewall and roof framing is constructed of aluminum and the sidewalls are fiberglass paneling.

There is also a choice of exterior color options for the owner as well. We know that there are at least three options to select from for this model: white, platinum and champagne.

Additional exterior details:

  • Power awning w/LED lighting
  • Patio light
  • Fold away entry handle
  • Roof ladder
  • Outside shower
  • 4-pt stabilizing jacks
  • Spare tire with carrier
  • Prepped for back-up camera
  • Magnetic door catches
